Verstappen Ninth in Second Training GP Spain

Max Verstappen has set the ninth-fastest time in the second free practice for the Grand Prix of Spain.
The Dutchman from Red Bull came in his fastest lap at the circuit of Catalonia in Barcelona to 1.18.785. He was 0.615 seconds slower than Lewis Hamilton.
The British world champion came in his Mercedes to: 1.18.170 and was slightly faster than his Finnish teammate Valtteri Bottas and Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc.
Verstappen could not come close to the times of the Mercedes on the soft tires. The Red Bull driver was also briefly off the track and slightly damaged his car. His Mexican teammate Sergio Pérez also did not get further than a tenth place. He was more than a tenth of a second slower than Verstappen.
The Spanish GP is the fourth race of the season. Hamilton won the opening race in Bahrain, Verstappen was the best in the Emilia-Romagna GP, and Hamilton was again the best in Portugal. In the world championship, Hamilton has 8 points more than Verstappen.
