US Government Promises to Improve and Accelerate Vaccine Distribution

The US government pledges to make changes to improve and accelerate the spread and delivery of the corona vaccine.

Health Minister Alex Azar will announce measures later Tuesday to ensure vaccination coverage rises rapidly, The New York Times reports.

In December, President Donald Trump promised that 20 million Americans would have been vaccinated by the end of the year, but nearly 9 million vaccines have been administered by Tuesday. That’s 35 percent of the number of vaccines available in the country.

The government has called on all Americans 65 and older to get a vaccination as soon as possible. These are immediately available for this group. Until Tuesday, the call was for over-75s.

More than 376,000 people have died of Covid-19 in the United States since the pandemic began. In recent days, the number of daily deaths in the country has exceeded 4,000.

In the state of California, Disneyland amusement park, which has been closed to the public since only last year, has been prepared for large-scale vaccine delivery. It is expected that this can be started this week.
