Ukraine: More Than 1,000 Foreigners Sign Up for the Legion

More than a thousand foreigners have now reported to the government of Ukraine to fight on the side of the country against the Russians.

 

This was reported by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba.

Kuleba said that the applications come from sixteen countries. However, he did not say which countries were involved.

President Volodimir Zelensky announced on Sunday that Ukraine would set up a legion of volunteers from abroad to defend the country.

Kuleba had called on candidate volunteers to report to Ukraine’s diplomatic mission in their country. “Together we defeated Hitler, and we will defeat Putin too,” the foreign minister tweeted.
