Tech Fair CE China 2021 Cancelled

CE China 2021, the huge consumer electronics fair that was supposed to take place in Guangzhou from September 16 to 18 is cancelled.
Organizer IFA has cancelled the event because China is still struggling with entry restrictions due to the corona pandemic.
Due to the resurgence of the virus in Asia, there was also an increasing reluctance from both international companies and companies from China itself to participate in the electronics fair, the organizers said.
“Obviously, it was a difficult decision, especially as a striking number of international companies had expressed an interest in presenting themselves at the fair,” said Jens Heithecker, IFA Executive Director and Chairman of CE China. According to him, an entire German pavilion had already been reserved where a dozen companies would show their latest products.
The organization is now looking ahead to 2022. The traditional IFA fair (Internationale Funkausstellung) in Berlin, planned initially from 3 to September 7 2021, was also postponed for a year.
