Stormy Daniels Loses Libel Case Against Trump

The US Supreme Court on Monday dismissed an appeal that porn actress Stormy Daniels wanted to file in her case against former President Donald Trump.
Daniels filed a complaint against Trump for libel in April 2018 for questioning her reliability on Twitter. A court in San Francisco ruled that there was no libel because Trump had exercised his right to free speech.
Stormy Daniels, whose actual name is Stephanie Clifford, wanted to appeal that decision. Trump’s lawyers asked the Supreme Court, the country’s highest legal body, to deny the appeal. Whatever happened, without giving reasons.
Trump’s ex-lawyer, Michael Cohen, allegedly paid the porn actress $ 130,000 in hush money just before the presidential election in 2016.
Trump previously said he had not known about this and also denied the slipper with Daniels.
