Moscow Angry That Extra UN Session on Bucha will Not Take Place

Moscow is angry that a United Nations session demanded by the Russians on the massacre in the Ukrainian city of Butya has been cancelled.
There will be no special meeting of the UN Security Council because the temporary chairman Great Britain does not think it is necessary.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov calls on the government in London to “take its responsibility.” The minister has denied any role played by Russia in the deaths of hundreds of civilians in the suburb of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. Instead, he argues that Ukraine has staged everything to put the Russians in a bad light.
After Ukraine accused the Russian aggressor of genocide, Moscow wanted Security Council consultations over what the Russians call a “blatant provocation by Ukrainian radicals”. The images of Bucha have now spread around the world and have strengthened calls for tougher sanctions against Russia.
