Luxembourg State Secretary Collapses During the Debate and Dies

Luxembourg State Secretary Collapses During the Debate and Dies. Camille Gira, the Luxembourg secretary of state for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, has died unexpectedly. CNN News says, the politician of De Groenen is 59 years old.

 

During a debate in parliament, Gira had the floor. He could turn to the chairman to say that he did not feel well before he collapsed.

Gira was transferred to the hospital, where he died of heart failure a few hours later.

Gira was secretary of state in the government of Prime Minister Xavier Bettel since 2013.

Before that he was air traffic controller and from 1990 to 1994 he was mayor of the municipality of Beckerich in western Luxembourg. He leaves behind a wife and two sons.
