Kremlin: US has Declared Economic War on Russia

“The United States has declared economic war on Russia, and they are waging this war,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said on Wednesday.
Moscow says it is seriously considering what to do after US President Joe Biden decided on Tuesday to ban fossil fuels such as oil and gas from Russia. The country has previously imposed sanctions on Russian banks, administrators and the country’s central bank.
According to Peskov, Russia is and will remain a reliable energy supplier, and the country will continue to supply energy flows. “But you see the bacchanals, the hostile bacchanals, which the West has sown. And that, of course, makes the situation very difficult and forces us to think seriously,” said the spokesman.
The United States and the EU have already imposed harsh economic sanctions over the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Peskov said on Saturday that Western countries that have imposed such measures on Russia are guilty of “economic banditry”, according to the Russian government.
