Investigation Black Boxes Brought Down by Ukraine Will Start in July

Iran is sending the flight recorders of the Ukrainian airliner shot down earlier this year to France next month.
The black box technical investigation is scheduled to begin on July 20. The civil aviation safety authority announced this on Friday.
Iranian forces shot down a Boeing 737 of Ukraine International Airlines with two missiles on January 8 shortly after takeoff.
All 176 people on board, including 57 Canadians, were killed. Tehran spoke of a “catastrophic mistake”.
Iran enlisted the help of French experts to download the data on the damaged recorders but remains responsible for the investigation.
