HBO Attracts More Subscribers With Cinema Films on the Streaming Platform

Streaming Platform HBO managed to attract more subscribers in the past quarter.

 

This is partly due to the popularity in the United States HBO Max, a streaming platform on which cinema films from film studio Warner can be seen from the premiere day.

In the first quarter of 2021, the number of HBO subscribers worldwide grew by 2.7 million to a total of nearly 64 million. Compared to Netflix, which has more than 200 million, that’s not much.

Mortal Kombat, based on the computer games of the same name, can be seen on HBO Max from the end of April. In the summer, the sequel to Space Jam, a 1996 film in which Michael Jordan played basketball with cartoon characters, will premiere.

The fourth part of The Matrix is planned for the end of 2021. A long-awaited reunion of the Friends series will also be broadcast on HBO Max, but when is not yet known.
