European Leaders in Self-Isolation After Contact With Macron
Multiple European leaders have gone into self-isolation after interacting with French President Emmanuel Macron in recent days.
The prime ministers of Spain, Portugal and Belgium, Pedro Sánchez, António Costa and Alexander De Croo, will stay at home for the time being. Just like EU President Charles Michel.
Macron tested positive for the coronavirus on Thursday.
French Prime Minister Jean Castex has also been quarantined for contact with Macron, but he tested negative on Thursday.
The French president showed some symptoms of the virus. He still feels good enough to be able to work and, according to the presidential palace, will perform his duties from home.
