British-French Fisheries Talks to Continue Next Week

The talks over fishing rights between France and the United Kingdom will continue early next week. British minister David Frost spoke with French minister Clément Beaune in Paris.
Both expressed their concerns during the meeting about trade in the post-Brexit era and all the complications that come with it.
France already released a seized British fishing boat on Wednesday, which the French said was working in their waters without a permit. Paris believes that the British issued too few permits for French fishermen.
The European Commission is also trying to find a solution. Frost is in Brussels on Friday to speak with European Commissioner Maros Sefcovic about the problems in Northern Ireland caused by the British departure from the EU.
