Boris Johnson: Trade Deal Starts A New Relationship With EU

Last week’s trade deal with the European Union is a new beginning of the relationship between the United Kingdom and the country bloc.
This is what British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said after a telephone conversation with EU President Charles Michel.
London and Brussels reached a trade agreement last Thursday. Johnson spoke of sovereign equality between the EU and the United Kingdom.
He said he looked forward to ratifying the agreement and cooperation on common priorities such as climate change.
Earlier in the day, it was announced that the EU ambassadors of the 27 member states have agreed to the Brexit deal.
