At Least 25 Dead After Explosion at Mosque in Afghanistan

At least 25 people were killed in an explosion at a Shia mosque in Mazar-i-Sharif, northern Afghanistan, on Thursday, a local Taliban chief told France’s AFP news agency.
Two days ago, there was an attack against a school in a Shiite neighbourhood in the capital Kabul.
“Preliminary information confirms that there are at least 25 victims,” said Zabihoelllah Noorani, head of the information and culture service of Balkh province, whose capital is Mazar-i-Sharif.
Provincial health director Najibullah Tawana, for his part, told the German news agency DPA that at least 10 dead and 32 injured were taken to hospital. More precise data about the explosion is not yet available;
There were also explosions in Kabul and the northern province of Kunduz on Thursday, resulting in injuries.
