At Least 20 Dead, Including 11 Children, in Pakistan Road Crash

At least 20 people, including 11 children, have been killed and 14 others injured in a minibus accident in Pakistan. The Pakistani police reported this.
The accident occurred on the road damaged in last summer’s floods.
The children were between the ages of 2 and 8 and were most likely sitting on their parents’ laps, a police official said.
The vehicle had ended up in a deep pit full of water “on the road damaged by the floods” in Sind province. The driver “had not seen the sign indicating a diversion”.
In Pakistan, traffic accidents occur due to poorly maintained roads and vehicles and careless driving.
This summer’s massive floods left a third of Pakistan underwater. As a result, more than 1,700 people lost their lives, 8 million people had to leave their homes and infrastructure was severely damaged.
